Baby Gym

Michael absolutely loves his Baby and Me class at the children's gym. He gets so excited when we walk in and he sees where we are. He kicks his legs, waives his arms and smiles big when he sees the other babies. Once seated on the carpet, he tries to get the attention of whichever girl baby is closest to him by grabbing her arm and smiling at her. He also flirts with teacher Veronica every week. He follows her around with his eyes, even if it means arching his back and neck all the way back to keep her in his line of vision. All of the teachers favor Michael because he's all smiles when we're there. I heard one of the seasoned teachers telling a new teacher "and that's Michael, he smiles like this ALL THE TIME!" The gym is equipped with all kinds of fun activity centers. They have trampolines, swings, slides, balls, balance beams, etc. Michael enjoys all of these activities, but he enjoys social time with the other babies the best. We've had a couple special weeks when Joey took an early lunch to meet us. And, Michael had an extra special week when Nana and Gramps (my parents) took him. He got to spend two whole days with my parents when they came to watch him  while I attended more training to prepare for next school year. My mom said Michael napped on the way to the gym and was still groggy when they walked in, then when he recognized the gym, he lit up and started kicking and smiling. She also said he very loudly yelled continuously while on the swings. All the other parents were looking at him wondering if he was okay because he was so loud. My mom figured he had to be okay because he had a huge smile on his face while yelling. I think he's just very passionate about his swing time.

Michael must be inspired by the children's gym because he's working out at home now:
